"Saving the planet, one hottie at a time"

You don’t have to leave your sexy at the door when trying to live a more environmentally-friendly life. That’s the message former Playboy Playmate Carrie Stevens wants to get across with Envi-image , her new online magazine dedicated to the green lifestyle.

To be honest, I never really thought the two worlds couldn’t co-exist. But, it seems like most fashion magazines agree with Stevens. Just about every fashion magazine I’ve picked up recently has had a huge “green” section and glaring headlines about it being possible to be sexy/trendy/hot and green at the same time.

Envi-image is released quarterly, and this season’s articles include info on organic underwear for men, fake tans, greening your sex life, and the importance of warning women about the dangers of some of the products in our cosmetics.

These articles were all informative in a way, although each piece is obviously aimed at selling the reader a specific product. The spray tan piece is pretty much an ad for a specific type of spray tan where the sprayer comes into your home. I think the article (borrowed from another magazine) would have been better had it included stats about the dangers of tanning beds and laying out without sunscreen, and if it had included the chemicals in many spray-on tans. But that’s just me, and I’m not sure this site is aimed at my specific demographic.

This is only the second issue of the online magazine. With time, I think the articles will get better. But I think the look of the site is nice. The navigation is also easy to understand, and I’m sure that lots of men will really enjoy all of the beautiful models pictured.

In a statement on her website, Stevens says, “You don’t have to sacrifice your sex appeal to be eco-friendly!”

It’s great that celebrities like Stevens are using their popularity and appeal to help spread the green message.
